So, I tried something new. I'd wanted to shade my art in the past because a lot of things I did just looked... so bland to me, and when I attempted shading, it always looked too cluttered and weird the way my art is fashioned. Now this texturing seems like the best way to go about it. I'm not sure how often I'll color like this, but I've gotta say it looks pretty cool.

I'm also continuing to push myself to choose colors on their own and not put an overlay on them like I had done for most of my digital art in the past. I think I'm getting the hang of that, but I'm still learning. It would help if Illustrator had a color wheel feature because although I've never used one before, it seems like a much easier way to go about choosing colors.
