The murine Eorl of Hwæltun was known even in the younger years of his reign for a surprising amount of patience, despite enduring, at the hands of the previous Eorl, years of what would make even a calm and reasonable person fall into a rage. Perhaps such patience was an exercise in restraint, for Ælfric's spiteful, righteous wrath, when it was finally wrested forth from him in the most dire of circumstances, was said to be as terrifying as mighty Þunor's own.
Are you a calm and reasonable person, Ælfric? You look like a calm and reasonable person. I had a lot of fun playing with the idea of an absolutely enraged Ælfric. He looks like he's about to take Mjölnir and hurl it through someone's house. TBH, they probably deserve it.
