I've been meaning to redo an old peice of mine (that I actually included in my portfolio for SCAD). There's probably a million mistakes in here, I suck at backgrounds and I don't ever do underwater. But here you go. Mixed media. How much did I improve? let's go look at the original:

Both look good. To me, it seems more like a different presentation, though this one definitely shows a lot more effort. And even if there are a million mistakes, I don't really see them myself. Also, you still did pretty good with the bg on this. Water ones (especially underwater) tend to be alien and uncommonly drawn, so you're a leg up there. The only thing I could say is that the darker, more defined water lines seem sorta too defined, but that may just be me.
Overall, great work!
