Our first successful project, the final manufactured copies of these girls left the factory in spring of 2013, after some serious delays along the complex learning process of inflatable toy design and sales. This design was produced on request, and I worked closely with the person responsible for arranging her design and manufacture. It was interesting developing a shape different to that of previous similar toys, though getting things done exactly right at the factory proved a slight challenge, especially explaining to them what we wanted with the hair, and them explaining to me exactly why they couldn't do so many of the design features I wanted. Eventually we came to a compromise, and this girl was created and approved.
Only a few were ever made, though the customers that forked out the over $500 for one seem more than satisfied, which I suppose it what really matters. Plans are underway to re-use large parts of this design in later toys as well, I only hope they prove as popular and successful.
