Made myself a decent yote tail today! Found this super-realistic fur, omg it's so pretty and pettable. I made up my own pattern - it was 7 pieces, then 2 nylon straps for a belt attachment. You can't see in the photo, it's even hard to see in person because it is subtle, but the underside is a different fur type without the black guard hairs of the rest of the tail. If I learned to airbrush I'd darken along the top, but it looks fine as is. I will be sporting it around AC and Megaplex!
