Melon Yote

OLD ART - 2008

Coyotes are known as pests for attacking chickens and sheep... but did you know they attack watermelons as well? It's true, you can't make this stuff up! Some hunters even swear by using watermelons to lure coyotes for trapping.

I thought this was very amusing, and very cute (as long as you're not a watermelon farmer anyway...) So now I have a coyote puppy (with classic western style bandana) chowing down on watermelon for the summer! This'll be at AC in the art show for auction.

Marker/colored pencil/watercolor. And the help of a real watermelon to scarf down for inspiration! Yum.

(The mouse-drawing-binge hasn't ended yet though... they're still hiding in my sketchbook waiting to be finished....)
