In case you missed it on my Twitter (https://www.twitter.com/kitashi_), ZooKeeper is an application I wrote to allow you (artists and followers of artists) to batch-download submissions (files and their metadata) from various websites; create, browse through, update, and delete them on your computer; and batch-upload them to various websites! I already wrote this in Python, but I am rewriting it in C# (hence ZooKeeper*Sharp*) to solve many of the problems I had with Python. There are still some issues with using C# (namely, without extra effort, the application only works on Windows), but, overall, C# is the best option for me to be able to write and maintain the application.
This rewrite is split into 3 main releases:
My goals with this application are to:
Thus, my plan right now is to:
I hope to have this last release done within the next few weeks. To artists looking to move submissions from Fur Affinity to these supported websites, I recommend you wait until Alpha 3 is released. To artists looking to cross-post new submissions to these supported websites, I recommend you use ZooKeeperSharp to manage and upload the new submissions.
To everyone, including those of you who want support for non-supported websites, and those of you who would be interested if only it were changed in some way, I would greatly appreciate it if you would give ZooKeeper a try, see what you think about it, give me your feedback, and talk to your friends about it. If ZooKeeper gets enough interest and support, I will more than happily continue developing it! This includes adding support for more websites, adding more features, fixing more of the less-critical bugs, making it cross-platform, and generally polishing it to a sheen! The biggest obstacle to this, though, is people not even knowing that ZooKeeper exists, so please help me spread awareness!
