Took some new photos of all my dinosaur charms to coincide with the sale going on in my Etsy store right now.
Spinosaurus was a theropod dinosaur first discovered in Egypt in 1912. The original specimen was destroyed in World War II during a British bombing raid of Munich. The spines along its back grew to at least 1.65 meters (5.4 ft) long and are thought to have supported a sail-like structure, though some suggest the spines were covered in fat and formed a hump! Other hypothesis include it as a structure for mating or threat displays, or for stabilization in the water when thrashing.
