SO this past November there was a Last Guardian art contest over on twitch that my buddy :devcrowflux: and I decided to enter, even if for nothing better than an opportunity to draw something different for a change. Neither of us were selected as finalists, but I have to say I'm still very proud of the work I did on my entry and how great it turned out! It's been a long time since I got to practice some truly lineless art like this.
My entry was inspired by a scene from one of the game's trailers in which Trico (bird-dog) gets royally spooked by a windmill-looking shrine structure. The symbolism really intrigued me, so I went for a mystical "bad juju" kind of theme, with Trico protecting his boy as the eye looms over him.
Having not yet played the game, I honestly have no idea if this truly represents any part of it - I was just going off my loose interpretations from the trailer.
