Spit me out,

where no one can find me again.

Let me be a stranger

an unknown face,

once nobody is looking for.

A stranger with no expectations to their name,

let me have that,

for five minutes or more.

Stop making me be the bigger person,

it’s all I’ve ever been,

my whole life.

I do it again and again

but no one ever shows me the same courtesy,

so I wish the world would swallow me whole.
