"MOM"

Skyler immediately ran towards a woman laying motionless on the dirt, kneeling down skyler held her mom in her arms, her body seemed lifeless and the sky blue markings on her body started to slowly fade to grey

"Mom are you ok, please say something"

"S-Skyler" cough "are you alright love?"

"Yes I'm alright mother, S-Stay here mom, I'm gonna go get help"

As she went to leave her mother gently grabbed her arm

"N-no, don't, Skyler I need you to listen, your special, you have powers that must be used for good cough "you have a gift, there are others like you, they went into hiding to stay safe from the bad people of this world, find them and they will take care of you, the same way I always did"

"No mom! I'm not gonna lose you! Your my family and I'm not gonna leave you!"

Her mom reached her hand up and placed it on Skyler's cheek, her thumb wiped away a tear

"You won't lose me, no matter how far you go...no matter what.. I will always be in your heart, even when I'm gone I will always, always.. Be here"

"No, please don't say that mom, I can't lose you, I-I won't lose you! P-please don't leave me"

"Skyler...I want you to promise me something... I want you to promise me that no matter how bad the world gets, no matter how evil people may seem...p-promise me you will never become one of them...promise me you will always protect people"

sniff "I p-promise mom...I promise I will always be good"

"They are your family now, they will protect you from the dark ones, they are path to the light"

"But mom how will I even know where to find them?"

"Your powers will tell you my love, you will know where they are.. Listen to your heart"

"I will mother.. I will sniff

She took one last look into her daughters eyes and quietly said

"Goodbye...my angel"

Her marking turned grey.. And her eyes slowly closed

"No mom no, don't leave me please, I can't lose you please, mom.."

The sky started to turn grey and light drops of rain started to fall, Skyler still held her mother in her arms and never wanted to let go, the world seemed to crumble around her, but she remembered what her mothers last wishes were and quietly said to her mother

"...I promise"
