Since I've been sick as a dog all day, I spent the last couple of hours working on a piece of my Lucky Chime... Who I haven't been able to come up with a name for yet. I'm thinking I might just call him Lyf (pronounced "Leaf"), but I'm not sure if that's going to stick yet.

It's still kind of a WIP, but I ended up trying to mimic Burrdog's style with her original design, because my usual solid-black-lines wasn't looking quite right. I learned a bit about shading/highlighting techniques from this, too... Even though I ended up with 31 layers. XD There's a loooot of fine-tuning. I haven't even tried to shade/highlight the ribbons yet!

I really, really wanted to turn this into a full-body piece, but when I was sketching it out by hand I was having a lot of trouble getting the proportions and the rest of the body posed right, soooo here's a bust-type thing. :U
