Well, I never heard back after that job interview, and an order I made on eBay a month and a half ago never arrived in the mail, so I've been a little bummed out the last couple of days. I mean, it's not really THAT big a deal, not the end of the world or anything, but still. Boo-urns.

In the meantime, I kept myself busy last night learning how to not be a total trainwreck with making custom textures in SecondLife. Nothing fancy, I decided to stick with something that required a liiittle less detail just to get the hang of things.

And now, my ponysona finally has a form: Meet Lucky Clover!

She's a pegasus pony who really likes making good luck charms. She's a bit shy and incredibly superstitious, but really friendly. She travels a lot selling her charms and trinkets. Her cutiemark is a celtic heart. <3

The textures don't line up 100%, especially on her body, but that's mostly because when I was working on the upper and lower torso textures I made the mistake of using the "Ponnequin" model that came with the avatar itself, which... as it turns out, is more accurately pieced together than the actual avatar. I've tried modding the avatar pieces to fix it, but then the AO makes the whole thing look screwy. So I said fuck it. XD Lesson learned for next time!

The face isn't 100% done either-- The main part of the head is about 90% textured, but the nose and ears are just tinted because by the time I had everything else done it was like 5AM and I needed to go to beeeeeeddd. XD There's a lot on her that really needs to be fixed, but overall I'm proud of it for my first texturing attempt!
