Super quick'n'rough painty sketch of Boneclaw Mother, my favorite character from Ursula Vernon's "Digger" graphic novel. Clever old hyena ladies FTW.

Years and years ago, when I was still pretty new to the fandom, Ursula began posting Digger to Yerf, and I thought it was such a neat comic. I loved the scratchy style, and the eponymous main character defies fairytale stereotypes in the best of ways. I recently got my copy of the "Digger Omnibus", and devoured it in two sittings--it was just so much fun to reacquaint myself with characters from my childhood, and finish the story. It reminds me a lot of a more coherent (and honestly, more enjoyable) "Cerebus", although I'll admit the two stories have pretty different aims.
