Its base item was a disc shooting Nerf handgun the case was opened up and a heavier tor-shin spring added to improve the performance. Next the logos and wording was sanded off by hand before hit with base coat of Matte black airbrush paint part of the gun was masked off and again hit with the airbrush paint for the dual tone look. The next step was to dry brush on a mix of gunmetal and sterling silver paints to beat up the gun for a used look before reassembly and test fire to ensure it still is fully functional

It's really well done. I suspected it was a nerf gun of some type but it's nicely modded. For future reference the spring is called 'torsion' due to its twisting action. And about that- where do you obtain your torsion springs? I use them the make trigger boxes from scratch for when I want to put moving triggers on things. It's been my experience that they can be costly and hard to find. Thanks for the reply. I always enjoy seeing people's creativity and thanks for the share.

I ordered the one i used for this online some time ago but it was very costly so ive had to abandon getting more unless on commission

Yes I saw that when I looked on amazon. They had one for 4.95 (for one spring) and shipping and handling. I wouldn't mind paying 5 dollars for a spring since I routinely spend that on other materials. Nothing I make costs very much. Keep up the crafting. Thanks again for the info.
