wabi large anthrocon 2014 commission

keirajo

This was the largest (amount) commission I got at Anthrocon 2014, to round out my Wabi commissions that I want to post to my gallery here. Since I began going to FurCon in 2010, I have always talked to and gotten badge-size commissions from Diana Harlan-Stein...an artist who does completely fabulous watercolors. She is amazingly nice and always fun to talk to at conventions. I decided this year to go all out (now that I have an actual "fursona") and get a full-scale painting from her, of Wabi. Compared to the small badge-size paintings I have...this is the most beautiful commission I've ever gotten from her. My scanner, of course, does not do the real painting any justice at all--she used a pearlescent white watercolor paint for the wings and some soft glitter in the background. And I'll really miss not going to a furry convention in 2015, to get another commission from her...

For those who have not heard the story...it is because of encouragement from Diana Harlan-Stein (and my good friend Vani-chan) that I have even had the motivation to get online to a gallery site like Fur Affinity, and now Weasyl. Without her encouragement, I would not be here talking to all of you today. I don't know if she has pages at the gallery sites, I usually add her website address instead...

Wabi/Despair Dog species belongs to me.
