I drew this last summer when I was stuck at home on lay off. laughs
I'll still be wearing a mask in public for a very long time, because you can't trust people (even if I am vaccinated) and the vaccine will eventually require boosters.
MLP belongs to Hasbro, OC belongs to me.
Given that I work in a Library and when we had the mask mandate active--it was awful to keep telling people, "please pull your mask up--please put it over your mouth AND nose". Since public transportation is under TSA and they still require it--at least on the bus, the drivers are still enforcing the mask wearing rule (I've watched someone get asked to get off the bus and seen a supervisor called to eject someone from a bus).
As I keep telling people "vaccine is NOT a cure", even if you're vaccinated you can still get COVID-19. Your symptoms may be less and you have a lower risk of hospitalization--and personally, I'd really rather NOT have it at all. So, yeah--don't care what people say, but I'll still wear a mask, probably forever at this rate. chuckle
I did have a couple little kids tell me yesterday that my mask was cool (it was a Blossom the Weedle one I'd made/painted for myself). :)
I've had people tell me that since I wear a mask I'm, and I do so quote (technical paraphrasing for the bad ones, sometimes separately, sometimes together for the words) a/an: racist, sexist , homophobe, transphobe, bad doer of things to children, bad doer of things to animals, pervert, woman beater, life-ender, serial life-ender, drug dealer, freak, stupid f-ing hard R n-word, a Trump supporter, a Biden supporter, China Flu conspiracy nut, Liberal, Conservative, completely bad word for mentally handicapped people, female dog, illegitimate child, name for a woman of ill-repute (not the one beginning with pro) of the government, government shill, draft dodger (old white guy in a "The Confederacy Will Rise Again!" shirt- no idea why), Satanist, 1940s German Person... Oh, the list goes on and on. It made me lose a good bit of faith in humanity. Still have it, just not as much before the C-Virus hit.
I love your Blossom the Weedle mask! I'd buy some from you, but I'm poor and will NOT become a Choosing Beggar. No "I can pay you in exposure" then badmouthing you/your art/family/friends/etc. when you point out you need to eat/pay bills/etc. I know artists work hard and work long hours often undercutting what their art is truly worth. If I commission anything, you can be darn sure (pardon my language) I'll pay more than the price because it's worth it! I apologise for ranting on and on.
Thanks.........and don't worry, it's okay. I don't have anymore paints and Target stopped selling the plain masks I was painting. I don't have PayPal account, so I don't really do commissions anyways. I'm not fond of the internet, I don't even have internet at home--so my internet time is limited and I don't do many internet things. chuckle
Yeah, for real. I really want a back office job right now because between last year’s politics and the pandemic, it seems like everyone’s inner @$$hole has come out.

So will I. I've been yelled at because I wore a mask, both before and after the pandemic has "ended" (I know it's still going on), because "The C-Virus isn't real!" and "It's over! Take it off or I'll call the cops!" and other so-called "reasons". Only places I don't wear it are outside (unless group of people incoming) and in my house. I'm not sure if I'll ever stop wearing it in public places. Don't forget the malicious people of the world (anti-vaxxers, Facebook mom groups, Karens and Kevins aka the bane of retail existence, etc.) that will fake the documentation that they got it. Too many people could still have it or be asymptomatic, yet "Open everything back up! It's over no matter who says what!" is the battle cry. hangs my head in shame Stupidity is prevailing.
