While these are photographs, the actual art is multi-media materials here. That's why the subcategory for this is "other". chuckle As some people know, I like to decorate my desk at work for the seasons/holidays. Because, I spend 8+ hours at work at least 5 days a week........it's a lot of my life that I stare at my desk sometimes. I like it to be pretty. I also put out candy at the corner of my desk somewhere, to brighten my co-workers' day with a little bit of sugar. XD
Materials used in the construction of my summer desk decorating: wrapping paper (2 types), shark-themed party decorations (yeah, I didn't wanna draw sharks), mermaid pattern heavy ribbon, crepe paper, clear/colored basket wrap, marble-pattern scrapbooking paper, multicolored cardstock, dollar store shells, dollar store ocean-themed mats and markers/pens.
Anything pre-made I clearly did not make, but I used the scrapbooking paper and cardstock to create corals and fishes in a "papercrafty" manner.
I had to do it over a couple weeks--like the fish just got added this week, because I just did them at the beginning of the week..............aaaaaand I could only decorate if I got to work early or used my lunch breaks. No decorating on work time! XD Hours totaled, though...........maybe about 6 hours total, but over the course of 20-30 minute increments in two weeks or so.
The easiest part.............taping the wrapping paper to the desk. Not much skill required on that one! XD
