A new game's Region meant I'd eventually add a new character to my Pokemon University cast. XD Despite the fact people know I do like the Galar Ponyta, I didn't immediately decide upon that particular Galar Pokemon to add. I was trying to find a good one that would be suitable with my other cast of characters. I had a few particular rules that I was going to go by when creating a new Galar Region character:

1) They would be a "child genius".
2) Because of being a child, it had to be a Pokemon that looked good as an anthro in their not-fully-evolved form(s).

So, I thought about like any of the Starters, Alcremie could work (even without an evolutionary form), Hattena/Hattrem, Impidimp/Morgrem..........things like that. As I decided more than the "child genius" personality, I thought about--it's a child who was being put into a college setting, so they'd be very different from everyone else. As I fleshed out her quirks even more and what I wanted her personality and move set to become--I decided upon Galar Ponyta. I even considered creating siblings having an older sibling that was a standard Rapidash as a big brother/sister to a younger sibling that would be Galar Ponyta--but in the end I went with a single character that had two Pokemon pets--because a child would have a connection and desire for pets.
