If I could draw robots better--this would look way better than it does. XD

So, anyone who hasn't been listening to me for the past (counts on fingers) about seven months--I've been writing Transformers fan-fiction. Which in itself has not been new to me (I've written off-and-on for my favorite fandom since 1987), but this year was new to me to join some kind of online place and share my things with more than my friends. The most popular series I've done to date has been my Galvatron/Rodimus Prime G1 stuff--and I threw in the thing I didn't think I'd ever put into a TF story......a sparkling (child). It wasn't my actual intention to do so, until I decided it would make a nice cliffhanger ending on one of my stories--and strangely in the overly-saturated sparkling end of the fandom, my unique take on the idea and process went over well with readers. It isn't something I'm overusing in any of my TF fan-fiction and was limited to just this series (most stories I see throw it in everywhere and in every single one of their stories, but if Transformers can have kids all the time, then what is the point of Vector Sigma or hotspots???). I made it logical and "only right now" for this particular series.

For my fan-fics, this is Novablaze--Galvatron and Rodimus' (Hot Rod's) "spawn"--Galvatron uses that term, not Hot Rod. XD I tried to incorporate into his design, pieces reminiscent of both his parents. People familiar with G1 Galvatron and Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime can probably see that--not just in the colors.

I've also got an idea on the evolution of Novablaze's growth...........and this ref sheet actually does not show his secondary alt mode (yes, the surprise twist is that he will be a triple-changer), but his growth spurt new form (not yet introduced in the story, but soon), shows a few subtle hints on what that third transformation form will be............! There's also an important plot point for his sudden evolution between the ages of five and six. So, yes, plot involvement. I've never made Nova unimportant to the story after introducing him--so, I'm not adding in a sparkling just because I can or just because it's popular to the fandom right now. There was an important reason for his conception, his birth..........and his growth.......as far as my fan-fiction is concerned and it'll be revealed in the upcoming story, "A Light in the Darkness".

I'm................as happy as I can be with this--which I did while at TFCon. But I do wish I could draw robots a lot better than this............. sigh

Transformers and specified characters mentioned belong to Hasbro. OC is mine. :)

It looks good! I myself am not a huge Transformers fan, but I like his design. ^^ I think it's really neat that he's being incorporated as something important to the plot - Chekhov's Gun and all that.

Thanks! :D The only part I shudder to think of is how to draw his "adult" form with the third alt mode. I guess, mentally, I can still get away with "chibi" as he's still young and short (mini-bot size).......... XD

I've read a lot of fan-fics where................it's just they want to give their favorite pairing a child, which is true of many fandoms and since someone made it a possibility with Transformers--a good portion of the fandom latched onto that, too. What can be inferred from the IDW universe to make this happen isn't exactly viable in the original 80's cartoon universe, even if you make slight changes. For the G1 universe and this situation--it is cashing in on a design flaw and making it legitimately work for the situation................but it isn't as if every Transformer in this altered G1 universe can have them--there's a specific reason why it was Galvatron and Rodimus Prime that made it happen and my fan-fics have been working towards that. :)

Smart thinking. You seem to know your stuff!

Thanks! I try to be detailled, even when my fan-fiction becomes A.U. from the original source. :)
