I don't understand why so many people dislike "Transformers: Energon". I may never understand it. Out of the so-called "Unicron Trilogy"...........I found "Transformers: Cybertron" the most boring to me. It had some interesting concepts, but...............THAT'S the one most fans seem to like the most. If you watch this so-called "trilogy" of Japanese series...you'll see how "Armada" was more traditionally animated, "Energon" was a mesh of traditional and CG and "Cybertron" was very nearly all CG.

Out of all the humans that have ever populated a Transformers series...EVER...Kicker Jones is by far my favorite. He's lived with Cybertronians all his life...and while he may not seem to be fond of them, he worked hard to save them. His ability to sense Energon was interesting...I mean, why would a HUMAN need to be able to sense Energon? And when Alpha-Q "died" (sacrificed or whatever have you) and left a whole freaking PLANET to Kicker out of gratefulness...it was a pretty touching moment. The last scene of the series (the dub...though I wish I COULD see the original Japanese version) always makes me happy. With Kicker and his Autobot friend/babysitter/partner, Ironhide, standing on this world Alpha-Q gave to him and Kicker says: "Do you see that...? That's our future up there." The sky, the stars...it always struck me as "eternity"--a true friendship between members of different races that would endure through time, despite how Kicker felt towards Cybertronians at the start of a series. It shows that no matter what kind of fans we HUMAN Transformers fans are...............the series wouldn't be anywhere without humans, either--and I think that's why there's always a "human sidekick" in any TF series. :)

Maybe people just disliked Kicker because he was not afraid to talk back to Optimus Prime? XD

Kicker Jones/Transformers: Energon properties belong to Hasbro. :)
