"Adventure Time" fan-art. I had to.
Finn...why you so dumb? I was so depressed by Finn and FP's breakup. cry
Adventure Time and Characters belong to Pendleton Ward/Cartoon Network.
I always thought it was very interesting, the portrayal of the relationship between Finn and Flame Princess. It's clear they had a crush on each other and there were moments where they were both super cute! But it also showed their fundamental... I guess flaws? They hurt each other, whether on accident or on purpose, and there's nothing they can do about that- I think it portrays a certain breed of abusive relationships, in which the couple clearly cares for each other but they're just not /good/ for each other, and I think their falling out can be used as a wake up call to some. I know their break up was upsetting, but honestly I think it's best for them as individuals- they can grow as individual people now, rather than focusing all of their growth on trying to make a doomed relationship work. uvu
I also love the detail of this piece, very nice! c:
True...I thought they were so cute together. :) I guess they just want to clear the way for Finn and Bubblegum by the end. (Not a fan of that pairing, to be honest.) Since I only get to watch it on DVD, with the compilation episodes I only get to see bits and pieces. Looks like season 5 will be out in July. But Flame Princess definitely grew up a lot after the breakup from the couple episodes I saw ("Earth and Water" and "The Red Throne"). :)
And thanks so much! :D
Hmmm... possibly! Personally I'm hoping that the censors will let up a little bit and show Bubbeline- apparently they're hinted at to have been a couple in the past but because of censors they can't actually make it canon???? Oh wow, yeah if you're watching via DVD's then I think it's 3 seasons behind? I think AT just finished up it's 7th season. A lot happens in those! c: And yeah, I agree!
No problem uvu
I had been wondering if Cartoon Network would divide up seasons 5 and up into multiple sets, since my co-worker told me they did 52 episodes instead of 26. But season 5 is listed for a July 14th release and contains 52 episodes. So that's cool! :)
I know what you mean...the comic book has been a bit more daring on that front--they've hinted at the Bubblegum/Marceline pairing quite a bit. Volume 6 of the graphic novels had a story that very much supported it! :) The comic is really good, if you haven't read it, I definitely recommend it! :D
That is cool!
Yeah, that's what I keep hearing, I've been wanting to read the comic for a while since it seemed like there was a lot of rad stuff going on in it!
There's the main comic series that's up to 6 volumes. Then there's also a side series that's up to 4 volumes (mostly in b&w/grayscale art) and a various amount of side story books.
The "Fiona & Cake" one was excellent! I'm currently waiting for the individual issues of the new mini-series, "Marceline Gone Adrift" to get collected into a graphic novel! :)

I was hoping they'd stay together, too :I
