Sparks are foxes

Kaoru

FlintGF recently asked me to compile a "mixtape" of my favourite Sparks songs for him... so I went ahead and did! And since I couldn't leave the poor thing without a cover, I took the pen and scribbled something away. :3 It's based on the cover for Big Beat, one of the lesser known Sparks albums and of the less iconic covers actually... but it was the one that seemed to fit the most.

And in case you're wondering which songs are on this thing, here's the tracklist:

Side A:
1) Tryouts for the Human Race (From "No 1 in Heaven")
2) Amateur Hour (From "Kimono My House")
3) Cool Places (From "In Outer Space")
4) When Do I Get to Sing "My Way" (From "Gratitious Sax and Senseless Violins")
5) "Mr Bergman, How Are You?"/"He'll Come Round" (From "The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman")
6) Fletcher Honorama (From "Sparks")
7) Mickey Mouse (From "Angst In My Pants")
8) Those Mysteries (From "Introducing Sparks")

Side B:
1) When I'm With You (From "Terminal Jive")
2) (Baby, Baby) Can I Invade Your Country? (From "Hello Young Lovers")
3) Scheherezade (From "Balls")
4) My Baby's Taking Me Home (From "Lil Beethoven")
5) The Ghost of Liberace (From "Gratitious Sax and Senseless Violins")
6) Photoshop (From "Exotic Creatures of the Deep")
7) Alabamy Right (B-Side to "Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth")
8) My Other Voice (From "No. 1 In Heaven")
8) As I Sit to Play the Organ at the Notre Dame Cathedral (From "Hello Young Lovers")

With that list you can track down the songs and compile the album yourself, if you like! (Or you can give me a nudge. ;) )

And in case you didn't catch the news: They recently had an album which they recorded together with Franz Ferdinand. It's really fun and catchy, and you should hear it if you happen to be a fan of at least one of these two bands. :D Who knew that both of their styles would go together this well and blend into each other this seamlessly?
