Philia by Kyna_Inkweaver

Scattered dice,
Card stock strewn about.
Raucous laughter and mumbled groans.
Pen and paper,
Mind's eye freedom.
We all play along in this freeform play.

Lazy afternoons,
Bad movies
and burnt popcorn.
Art penned true from heart,
As we all mock the show.
And irreverently discuss life.

Moments of doubt.
Times of fear
and endless woe.
A burden shouldered with a smile
A hand to lift up and steady oneself.
A simple question, What are friends for?

Philia

Philia, or platonic love, or love felt between friends. The more I look on this one, the more I realize I wanted to capture the memories I share with my friends more than the desperate longing of Eros' poem or the soft warm glow of Storge's poem. I wanted this one to be a good times kind of poem. Just something that we all can feel and go, Yeah, sounds like it was fun!
