White Dragon Flight by Kamakru

White Dragon Flight

So THIS. I learned a few lessons with this one:

  1. THUMBNAILS. Make sure you have a plan for what you are going to do with an image, or else you'll end up working on it for a long time and it not go anywhere.

  2. LIGHTING. It's okay not not have everything visible and lit. Use lighting as a focal point.

  3. DETAILS. Quit focusing on tiny details! This probably sounds strange, but it's probably the main reason why I kept getting stuck. Lay out the entire piece with the lighting BEFORE adding tiny details, if at all!

A huge thanks to and also TienChiArt and ArtMagix on DA for helping me out with critiques on this. It also made me realize that I needed to finish up this piece, so I could just start a new one lol.

Sorry. This is simply sheer awesome work. Much kudos! I love that palette, the city on that mountain or floating island... it just seem fantastic!

Thanks so much! It's definitely a color palette I do not use often. Glad you like!
