It's easy to get pulled into a sense of illusion, believing that the landscape before you is just painted instead of being miles and miles of vast structures created by wind, water, and gravity. It's only when you're so near the edge that the wind pushes against you and the ground beneath you suddenly feels so thin that you realize how massive the canyon is and how easily it is to get lost in there.
