Another one of the many shots I took while we visited the Desert View location along the eastern edge of the Grand Canyon National Park's southern rim. The colors over here aren't as vibrant as other parts of the canyon, sadly, but the sight was still breath-taking. The Colorado River that you see down in the canyon below is as wide as a football field is long. Let that sink in for a moment.

Absolutely, the breeze coming from inside the canyon, the swifts flying through the air and hunting bugs, the overall hush that falls over you as everyone gets quiet from time to time. Its incredible

I really want to visit this place.

Its somewhere that everyone should have on their bucket list. Ive yet to go visit the North Rim, but Ive heard its also a beautiful sight to behold, with a completely different lay of plants and animal life due to it being 1K ft higher in elevation than the South Rim where this was taken.
