Just one of the many shots I took while we visited the Desert View location along the eastern edge of the Grand Canyon National Park's southern rim. The colors over here aren't as vibrant as other parts of the canyon, sadly, but the sight was still breath-taking. The Colorado River that you see down in the canyon below is as wide as a football field is long. Let that sink in for a moment. Off in the distance to the upper left of the photo is Jupiter Temple, I believe.
