Tora Norimaki is a Neo-Tokyo police-detective who is an expert in crimes of a supernatural and alien nature . He has the God-Hand, a mysterious parasitic-hand that is said to be a relic of the Ancient-Ones and can turn into any tool or weapon that Tora wants.

Nero is a recurring foe of Tora Norimaki. He was once human, but was injected with DNA of the Ancient-Ones, and is now a twisted bird-like vampire with razor-blades on his wings and an insectoid-looking mask.
