He's typically worshiped by the Hybrids of the land, for they are often forsaken by society, cast out and looked down upon for their muddled blood that renders them prone to mutation and feral devolution. Rumors suggests that the further these mongrels stray from the pure blood of the awakened races, the more monstrous and savage they become - perhaps the source of all monsters in this world.

Volar accepts these forsaken souls as his children, encouraging them to hunt, feast, and procreate gloriously in his footsteps. Those who worship him often receive boons of immense strength, keen senses, and uncanny instincts - but just as often find themselves straying from their natural bloodlines, undergoing strange and savage mutations as their blood runs wild with his power.

Some legends suggest that Volar's unparalleled might, enough to upend mountains should he be sufficiently motivated, is inhibited proportional to the amount of clothing he wears - and that a canny trickster deity once lowered his strength to that of an infant by throwing a blanket over him.
