This is Richard. By all appearances, he's just a normal guy in his early-/mid-twenties, and on average doesn't garner a second glance. He's just the quiet but friendly, unassuming young man who serves coffee at a little shop near a university. Hardly anyone ever notices how intently he watches the patrons, or how he attentively listens to their conversations and silently stows away tidbits of their lives. And rarely anyone notices if they pass him on the sidewalk - he's just an average looking guy that blends in among the crowd. No one really knows or pays attention to Richard - until it's too late.

Richard is a cannibalistic serial killer who seeks his victims from a general pool of abominable personalities who treat others around them horribly - in other words, hipsters and yuppies who patronize the coffee shop he works at. He has also recently been "orphaned" after the death of his legal guardian and mentor of 17 years, Trevor Quentin. This has left Richard with a mass of money, an large old house on the edge of town with few to no neighbors and many secrets, and growing doubts about what he's doing with his life and what the future holds.
