A thousand miles
Might as well be
A thousand years away
A vast land
Acting as a sea
To potential love
Unprepared
With no ship to sail
Across the vastness
Of distance and time
They watch each other
Through dark mirrors
Laughing
Grasping
Onto all they can
Enjoying the stolen moments
Spent together
Before going on to live
Separate lives
A thousand miles apart
It might as well be
A thousand years
Before I hold you to me
And whisper sweet nothings
In your ear
On the other side
Of the vast sea
