Hail to the King by JWB (critique requested)

Hail to the King (critique requested)

Kitsune had put countless hours in this new Mario game that he special ordered last week, and he couldn't have asked for more after his dedicated searching.

Discussed widely in the gaming community, Rise of the Koopas was apparently such a hard to find import, that even in Japan, only a handful of copies had been unofficially printed, and passed around to a select few amount of programmers who created it. This was never intended for public distribution, as the creators had taken it on as a sort of personal labor of love. With the way people spoke of it in the community, it almost seemed like a myth.

But here it was, illuminating his room with the most sophisticated graphics and elaborately fleshed out AI that he had ever witnessed. It was as if the programmers were striving to make the world as real as they could, and he was immersed into it front and center. Even the story was something he had never seen before.

The koopas had taken over the mushroom kingdom once again, but instead of the usual dreary and rundown environment you've always come to expect. It almost looked like a utopia. Even the koopas didn't seem to prove as harmful in these games as the other ones. In fact, a few seemed to follow you and aid in your mission. The real enemies seemed to be the former members themselves, which threw objects and mushrooms, which once served as power ups, in your direction.

Finally once you reached your first boss, who else came to battle, than your former ally Luigi. Sending jump spins and rolling tortoise shells at you, you had no choice, but to fight back. Every blow he delivered to you, he continued to yell "Show your true form!"
Finally, a hammer thrower floated down into the scene. Fearing a barrage of hammers, you made sure to keep yourself in motion. However, to your surprise, the creature you had always known as your enemy floated to you, and threw what looked like a glowing scepter at your feet. Cautiously walking towards it, you motioned to pick it up. Once the scepter was clasped into your hands your character suddenly paused. The sky grew dim, as you began to shake and glow. A sudden surge of power began to spread from the cord to Kitsune's hands, as he felt his body burst with energy and strength.
His hands began to shake as the controller seemed to shrink in his hands. His clothes began to grow snug as his breathing grew heavier. Grinning deeply with sharpening teeth and a reddening glare, he began to chuckle with a deep growling voice. His muscles tensed, and his skin grew thick. Yellow and green scales began to surface over his skin, and toughen into a density thick enough for combat.

His arms began to shake, as he growled louder, his mouth opening with his fanged maw, as his nose and jaw began to swell and stretch into a massive muzzle. His skull began to rattle, as new bones began to form, sliding out from the lengthening spread of his reddening mane, into what could only be described as horns. His back swelled and began to stiffen. A strange plate began to spread over his flesh, rounding out into a dome that his shirt couldn't dream to hold, as a massive turtle like shell swelled with sheer force and brawn. It took no time at all for the spikes to quickly spread across his new appendage as an added aid to combat for his enemies.

A dark sense of delight spread over kitsune's mind, as his now massive body dwarfed his furniture. He knew that Luigi had found him out. And that it was up to him once more to defeat and capture yet another rebel who stood in the way of his goal of absolute domination. He had already dealt with, that red plumber who always seemed to make trouble for him, but there were still enemies in his way, who stood between him, and his beautiful princess. With the strongest of the fleet gone, he knew he'd have no trouble defeating this green beanpole, and that little mushroom runt.

His dream was within his grasp now, and he was about to snatch it with his big clawed paw. With the finishing blow set on the helpless plumber, the screen began to glow, and he was suddenly taken completely into the world, which he had single handedly taken as his own. Now it was time to fully take his rightful place as king once more.

Another trade pic with   kitsunekit this time, that I had a blast playing with. I haven't drawn Bowser too many times before, but I'm pretty happy with the way this came out. Anyway, hope you all enjoy:)
