Commentary:
WELP that didn't work. There's a rule about Spells that I haven't gotten to explain yet, which is why I'm doing this now in this chapter. This rule is not something that would be obvious, even if I DID frequently show spells in this comic, so I'll be surprised if anyone correctly guesses the reason for Lubo's spell not working.

The explanation is going to have to wait for a bit, since the characters obviously now have a bigger issue on their hands than a spell malfunction.
