The red kite is one of my favourite birds in Germany (besides the common kestrel)! Since this year, I'm working as ornithologist from time to time in my job and I LOVE it. I watch red kites for 8 hours a day and I could even do it longer, but they tend to disappear when it's getting dark :p
I wanted to show my appreciation of these birds by sharing a rather old photo with you, because I don't have a newer one.
Unfortunately there's no time for raptor photos while working, since I have to watch every move they make and they fly so high that I easily lose sight when I look away for a moment (and I lack of a proper telephoto lens). ^^
