Sleeping

Joji

I often experience sleep paralysis, where I hear/see the weirdest messed up things that seem so realistic that you think it's actually happening.

One time I was floating and saw myself laying in bed, sleeping. Seeing children hands waving from behind the glass in the door of my bedroom while I was floating and getting higher and higher. I thought 'alright, this is it. I'm dead, and this is the end.' After a few minutes I went down and was back in my body again. It's terrifying when you can't do anything, and this was one of my scariest moments while being paralysed.
Most of the other times it always feels like someone is standing next to me, whispering or heave breathing in my ear. Calling my name or sitting on my chest, which feels like you're suffocating D:<

Explanation: Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak or react. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (such as an intruder in the room) to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body).
