millions of bits and pieces, all put to use:
divided and conquered, exploited and abused.
cogs and wheels, all subject to shatter-
brittle and restless, they creak, moan, and clatter.
desperation and inertia drag the beast on,
but it limps and lags, flagging and ragged and wan.
when it comes warring, stand steady and know:
this is weakness, these are death throes.
