Filth the Dragonborn Alchemist by JiggyDino

Filth the Dragonborn Alchemist

JiggyDino

Character I made some weeks ago. Filth might not be his final name, but it would be a similar word for Backstory Reason.

Original description follows:

I probably won't ever use him, but after listening/watching to a bunch of Critical Role (from the start, nowhere near caught up ~ep14) my mind came up with this non-finalized character that I might use if I ever were to play a table top game. I guess DnD specifically since I decided to draw him based on some Dragonborn arts. But the part that extra make me think I could never use him was that he's an alchemist. Which there are no class for that. But based on the "how to run a game" episode of CR, it sounds like it's not impossible to just make a custom class. CR even has one of the characters using guns after they made up a character to fit the world and the rules associated with him. (Basically being the inventor of guns in a fantasy universe, if I heard correctly). But I guess it doesn't matter cause I just straight up don't have anyone to play with and I'll go the pessimist route and say that I probably never will. =3

Other than that, the character himself might be hard to play with, both for me and any poor souls that would play with me. He's pretty averse to fighting having no real training and with his Over-sized Cleaver being very unwieldy for fighting. An alchemist who specializes in meat related ingredients, his Over-sized Cleaver is only really meant to be used to cut corpses into smaller chunks. For that however, he's pretty damn good at using it, doing precision chops with barely no efforts. In combat, the only real way for him do do any damage would be if his target is in front of him on the floor. This can be extra damaging since the blade is very sharp for bone cutting purposes. However, any other swings will be at disadvantage with risks of cutting himself by accident. He also can concoct some offensive potions given he find the right ingredients, throwing it at his enemies. Potions with effects such as sleep, paralysis and acid are potentials. But potions that helps his party can also be made. Which he will want to do to keep the party alive to some extent.

He is very asocial, but he finds that following a party around is a great way for him to find some great ingredients from interesting monster and races without having to get his hands dirty. At least, not until the enemies have fallen and he gets to work. Moves from party to party since alchemy is really the only things he knows how to do and really his only interest.

His backstory, while I actually thought about it a little bit, I'd wouldn't really says out loud since he kinda never talks about himself anyway. If I'd play with him, the DM might be the only one to know whatever I come up with since they supposedly can use the player character stories to sometimes put personal story elements in the campaigns. At least they can. I'm going with assumptions from the tip episode of Critical Role and Matt Mercer is probably a sensible and pro DM at this point, haha.

Oh, and he has a belt with potions tied to it but his shirt is long enough to hide everything. I might make it visible if I ever draw this guy again.
