The end of the road, the ending place for many an adventurer, the Temple was once the centerpiece of a glorious city in the desert, but is now ruins populated by hungry monsters and those who stayed behind to guard it. All sorts of slimes and mimics and hungry critters scurry about the stone halls, ready to snap up any adventurer that's made it thus far without being knocked out inside of a gut. At the top of the Temple, of course, is the magnificent treasure of many years past, and the Rod of Dominion over all the land...but the tricky part is getting up to it without disappearing into a gullet!
