A young osprey/tortoiseshell cat/Gulf Fritillary (or possibly Anartia amathia)-morph buttergryph.
Realized it had been bloody ages (or, well, AT LEAST 5 years) since I'd drawn a buttergryph, so in March when Indigo let me play with her new Copics, I sketched this one out and colored her wings. Then I forgot it at Indy's house for 6 months, until I returned to visit and borrow her Copics again. At which point I colored the rest of it. :3
I've decided osprey feet exist to drive me crazy; they're a blend of pale yellow and the slate blue-grey of an osprey beak. Took quite a bit of fiddling to pull off... ^_^;
Copics on weird waxy "Manga" Copic paper. I'm still not sure how I feel about this paper; it's weird and make the Copics behave more like watercolors than markers, so they blend/layer differently than Copics on Bristol. But it does seem useful for adorable scraps of art...and lets me add more "new" art to my Fall sales portfolio. :D
