I know this isn't the most magnificent song you've ever heard, so that's why I'm reaching out to fellow composers/lyricists so that I can get a good enough quality to get my foot in the door and start expressing myself through music.

The strums and taps at the start is a good idea. The piano and trumpet don't seem to sound like they are emphasizing battle enough. I'm not sure what it is exactly. It either needs to go even heavier to have a dire situation feel or lighter and quicker to elicit more of a flighty, panicky feel. Doesn't have to be crazy or erratic... but definitely a little more going on.
