Adeola was born to a small pride in the Pridelands. Her parents were not of royal lineage, her mother was distantly related to he First King, but her father was a rogue who had obtained permission to live in the Pridelands. She had three siblings, two pale lionesses and one reddish male, but she was born white. When the King sent summons to any who thought their cub worthy of a betrothal, her father escorted her to Pride Rock, where she was chosen above many royal cubs for the color of her fur.

The other lionesses were hesitant, white lions were considered special, but she was very lowborn. Her birth connected Mohatu deeper to the kingdom, but brought arguments among the Pride. She quickly proved herself a skillful hunter despite her coloring. Although she felt no love for Mohatu, she bore his cubs willingly and loved them dearly. She and Mohatu formed a strong bond, which gradually expanded into romantic love.

She died several seasons before Mohatu, although she was younger. Uru took her place as Mohatu's Queen, for Mohatu had no wish to take another mate.

She gave Scar and Uru their eyes, and contributed to Scar's nose. She also helped give Mheetu his pelt color.
