Trying out a new shading technique. This is also the first time I've done art 100% digitally without a reference. The only thing I looked at was his book appearance to get an idea for how his mane should flow. I'll take any constructive criticism quite happily. I know he isn't great.

I know something's wrong with his paw (back, left). I have no idea what's going on with his muzzle. Something's wrong with it...but I can't tell what. And his ear should probably be smaller. Like, a lot smaller.
