Dr. Hans Sans Panzer (outdated, inaccurate info)

Jaycee

September 21, 2010

WARNING: Super long character bio! If you read this, you must be super bored since I'm only typing this up for my own reference later on. Panzer will go into my character section once I make a better reference of him. Stuff is subject to change once he makes it into the comic.

Known Family: ?

Friends: Beeball (loyal lackey), Ella Pawman (former friend, now turned enemy)

Cartoon Classification: Unspecified Cartoon -> Anthropomorphic Insect (Garden Slug)

Backstory:

Dr. M "Panzer" Sasser (or just "Panzer" for short) was once a highly respected scientist in the past. He used to work in the Ella Pawman Squad decades prior to Jaycee's ownership of the organization. He actually worked alongside Ella Pawman herself in missions, and worked along with another partner - Madison Waltz (the son of Charleston Walts, Ella's former movie director). Panzer was responsible for a few major technological advances that benefited the EPS/JPS - it is believed that he had a hand in making the Squad Master System computer/teleportation portal, and the homing/tracking devices installed in the EPS/JPS badges.

Panzer never got along with Madison Waltz, but tolerated his existence. But, when Madison's son (Dizmo Waltz) was promoted to vice president, Panzer was furious over Ella's favoritism towards the Waltz family, and he set off to invent something spectacular - enduring many nights without sleep and many lab accidents. Panzer hoped that he'd finally win Ella's favour with something revolutionary and either replace Dizmo's vice presidency, or become Ella's next successor as supreme president.

His revolutionary invention is the "Deus Ex Machina", the metal backpack strapped to his back. It functions as an artificial cartoon hammerspace full of every kind of weapon/gadget imaginable. It was originally intended to be issued to every EPS officer (mainly the not-as-toony ones that didn't have a "hammerspace") so they could deal with every situation. Unfortunately, when he presented the prototype to Ella, she immediately shot down the idea, saying that the DEM would put far too much power in the officer's hands, and would be abused. Absolutely stunned and fuming with rage, Panzer left the EPS that day, and went into hiding for many years, idling inventing and tinkering in isolation. The world moved on and forgot about Panzer and his accomplishments, and Panzer stayed hidden until that fateful day where he finally discovered that Jaycee Pawman possessed ownership of the squad.

As a final note, Panzer never removes his gloves. Under them are crudely-made mechanical hands that are attached just after his elbows. He refuses to talk about it, just saying it was a "lab accident" and nothing else. It is unknown at what point in time the accident happened. It is also unknown the time, how or reason why Panzer partnered up with his inflatable idiotic "friend" Beeball.

Personality:

Panzer has a very large ego for such a short stature, and stops at nothing to get what he wants. He is extremely bossy towards others, and likes to take all the credit in group efforts. The only two emotions he expresses are extreme joy and anger, otherwise, he is mostly cold, calm and calculating. He doesn't relax or have fun, and he's constantly working on inventing new gadgets and potions. Finally, Panzer doesn't get a lot of sleep due to his extreme work ethic, and he speaks in an incredibly thick German accent. Being a garden slug, he is also on a strict vegetarian diet, and stays far far away from anything salty.

Strengths:

Panzer is one of the few characters that out-match Wayne's 178 IQ, reaching 200 IQ points. While his memorization skills and attention to detail are less that of Wayne's, Panzer's math and technical skills are a lot better. Panzer's extreme motivation allows him to continually problem-solve (with tasks, inventions, etc) even after many failures, while Wayne would give up at the first opportunity. He invents things out of extremely unlikely resources. Panzer is also skilled at medical surgery too, but his proficiency with mechanical devices is greater. Finally, he developed an unlikely talent for sewing, but that probably stems from having to patch up Beeball's rips and tears daily.

The Deus Ex Machina on his back is his greatest strength. Since the DEM allows for an near-infinite amount of weapons and gadgets to be stored into it, Panzer is prepared for almost anything, provided he can use the right tool in time. The DEM has 7 ports, allowing 7 different weapons available simultaneously. Guns, bombs, missles, energy cannons, lazers, a jetpack, scuba suit, flamethrower, a forcefield, it literally has everything. Oddly enough, most of his weapons are held by large mechanical hands, probably as a way of over-compensating after losing his own hands.

Weaknesses:

When Panzer's emotions get the better of him, things go wrong. He's prone to monologue and taunts his enemies when joyful, leaving himself distracted and open for attack. When he's extremely enraged, his critical thinking and accuracy with his DEM backpack becomes sloppy. Sometimes, logical-thinking Panzer doesn't take "cartoon randomness" into account and can be defeated in a spectacularly silly fashion.

His DEM isn't indestructible and can be disabled through either extreme physical trauma, or by scrambling/tricking it's AI. When too many gadgets are used at once, the DEM might "lag" or glitch up as well.

Physically, Being a slug means he has a very squishy and frail body. Just like all slugs, his biggest weakness is salt since it absorbs through his slimy skin, burns and rapidly dehydrates him. Being outside in hot weather also dries his skin out rather quickly. Aside from that, his physical strength and hand-to-hand combat is terribly lacking - his mechanical hands are not very strong or sturdy either. He relies far too much on his gadgets, so it's hard for him to fight (or even physically lift) a weapon (like a sword) at all. Lastly, his eyesight is incredibly poor and light-senstive without his goggles and Panzer is claustrophobic and panics in tight spaces. .

Fighting Style:

Panzer relies on his DEM to do all of the work. He's got a weapon for everything, it's only a matter of disabling him before he chooses the right one. He is hyper-offensive in his attacks, and prefers to use the DEM as a jetpack for high-velocity aerial fights. If he's unable to use his mechanical backpack, he will usually make a hasty retreat. Beeball also tries his hardest to protect Panzer when odds are not in Panzer's favour.
