Though the valley of the cave is always as bright as day, the Sacred Willow comes fully alight on the full moon causing its bark to shimmer with colorful veins like starlight and bathes the cave in a colorful, prismatic glow. This means the barrier between living and spirit is thin and cats can easily travel between realms.

(The appearance of the tree itself is inspired by opalized/petrified wood fossils... really neat stuff!!)
