Another recent, but not most recent piece that I had stuck on my HDD for a bit. This piece is for Avelos and it's quite a special one!
It was an artwork with musical inspiration. It's always incredibly honouring and humbling to me when client decides to entrust artistic freedom to me with couple of keywords and a song. I put the music on and just went where as it took me. Before I knew I got carried away with the background. Not gonna lie, I'm quite proud of it. Alpine landscapes always had a special place in my heart, be it in life or artworks. At same time it's most difficult kind of landscape for me to paint [I know may of you disagreed to this statement in past, but it's true!]. It's always a little bit of struggle to portray what I'd like to show with landscapes like this and while this one definitely isn't perfect - it totally felt like a step in right direction. I had a blast creating this one and kept coming up with countless details that just poured into the picture. It feels like a chunk of a journey. I love this piece and I am really grateful I could make it [with such pretty fluff as Avelos is too! :D]
