Okami Amaterasu by Isvoc

Okami Amaterasu

Isvoc

Akryl blew dust off our PS2 and started replaying good, old Okami. Since we always have too much fun coming back to old, good titles I finally decided to make Ammy Tribute :) I never got around to do it earlier, I was kinda afraid of fandom reaction, hehe.

I'm really happy about this one tho!

It's made on handmade paper. I used ink as my main medium for this one. No sketch or pre sketch. This paper is very fragile and any move with eraser would destroy its surface. It works wonderfully for strong, vibrant colors. It drinks paint like a sponge so it's very hard to create shadows [sadly]. I like it so much that I decided to frame it!

Original: Sold.

Art size: 29,5cm wide and 21cm tall.

Framed size: 47cm wide and 37 tall.

Second Okami themed work will follow soon. I gotta focus on trades and commissions first, because ugh, guilty ;P

I'm all about the Okami fanarts, and I think you did the game justice ^ ^ very very lovely, and I love the ink splotches near her tail, gives it a very nice touch.

Thank you so much! I had insane amount of fun making this one. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes final effect. :D

Looking it over for the....zillioneth time lol, I also do like how you did her disk. the most I've seen tend to follow the game's design and make it smallish but seeing it large like that with that much flame between it and Ami, it's also a very visually pleasing touch with the ink splotches. Your style flows so well with this character lol
