Mechanical pencil, felt-tip pen, and rolling ball pen, 2014

Blink dogs! I figured I’d go with the “wild dog/cape dog” look since it’s suitably cosmic and kind of looks like they’re already phasing out a little already. I debated also including a blink lynx, since Revenge of the Rainbow Dragons was formative for little me, but it just wasn’t in me this evening. I wonder if their fur patterns move around like wax in a lava lamp?

The size on these two is dialed back a bit from my previous displacer beast/beholder/umber hulk trio because those were friggin’ huuuge and I didn’t want to spend all evening doing tones on what’s meant to be a sketch. Doing the main outlines with a felt-tip saved me a lot of work!
