Discovery Summary:
The Aetherian Ghosts are naturally occurring, energy based life forms that share a collective subconscious. These creatures seem to have little concept of object permanence as their possessions and structures are all rendered out of their shared memory using their home planets' unique 'atmospheric' energy field.
Their first interaction with physical matter as a building material was a result of a survey probe crashing into their world. Currently, the Ghosts, commonly referred to as Codekin due to their data centric structures, are often used as a natural AI for less ethical creatures. Many out of their home system have taken to wearing biological or mechanical shell bodies in order to reduce reliance on atmos field generators.
