      I redrew the rings in the water around the float, but I guess that might have been a too subtle difference.

        I noticed the rings but water in rivers and lakes is moving nearly all the time so it doesn't give much of an idea of time passing.

        You're welcome! Comics are hard this way - I often struggle to find the balance between making certain points obvious for the readers and over-explaining and over-simplifying things.
